Training
Rescentris offers flexible training programs tailored to the needs of the organization. Along with extensive electronic documentation, most training is available by webcast. Additional user training sessions and workshops, as well as co-developed training, are available at Rescentris’ headquarters or at an offsite training location. CERF customer service representatives are also available to answer your questions.
Large CERF client partners frequently transition the training responsibility to internal personnel who have attended a co-developed ‘train a trainer’ session targeted to the client’s content, workflows and practices with certain department-by-department specificity. For small CERF client partners (5-20 users) a single web-based training session is generally sufficient to introduce CERF to researchers; additional training is available as needed.
In Practice
Here’s how Rescentris recently implemented CERF training for a 750-seat enterprise site license:
- Working closely with Rescentris, customer ELN project managers assigned a lead internal trainer with whom Rescentris developed training materials that meet the specific needs of the organization.
- ELN project managers initiated monthly user group and training sessions to bring on new users, identify "Superusers" and apply best practices for CERF integration with existing workflows.
- ELN project managers add 25-40 new users per month. Each new user is trained, then works on a separate CERF Training Server until certified to move to the CERF Production Server.
- The lead trainer and Superusers continue to receive additional and refresher training from Rescentris.
- ELN project managers, lead trainer and superusers work closely with Rescentris to keep users informed of updates new features, and new training materials as appropriate.
Deploying 50 to 100 newly trained users per month is easily feasible if there are two to three internal product experts. These individuals may be Rescentris professional staff, trained and certified client employees, or contractors.
All customers have full access to our dynamically updated online documentation and help area, which now includes a full range of pre-recorded training videos. The online documentation is both comprehensive and user friendly, addressing almost every aspect of CERF use and providing answers to most common user questions. |
